Mr. Ames is a 1994 graduate of Ball State University.
He served as director of bands at Knox Community High School for thirteen years prior to coming to Plymouth. His bands at Knox were repeated marching band state finalists, three-time state champion runner-up, and Bands of America Regional Champions. Under his direction, the concert programs annually earned Gold Award ratings and the band program became the nation's first-ever Conn-Selmer All-American Band Program. The Knox band toured New York and Philadelphia, Virginia Beach and Busch Gardens, Disney World, Universal Studios, the Bahamas, Pearl Harbor and Honolulu, Hawaii.
Mr. Ames is in his tenth year of teaching at Plymouth High School. While at Plymouth, the concert and jazz programs have annually achieved Gold Award ratings, the marching band was a 2010 Class C state finalist and a 2013 Class B state finalist, and the Winter Performance Ensemble was the IHSCGA Class 3A Divisional Champions and the Winter Drumline was the IPA Class B State Champion Runner-Up and Silver Medalist. In 2016, the Winter Winds ensemble was the IPA State Runner-Up and the WGI World Class Runner-Up and silver medalist.
The instrumental music department has earned the ISSMA "All-Music Award" annually for fourteen years and the program has toured Chicaog, the Bahamas, and recently represented Indiana in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington D.C.
Ms. Wallyn is a 2009 graduate of Indiana State University.
She has served as director of the Lincoln Middle School and Riverside Intermediate School band programs for four years. She is also an assistant at Plymouth High School helping with the Pride of Plymouth Marching Band.
Ms. Wallyn also devotes much time to the winter guard and winter percussion programs and serves as a visual choreographer for the high school marching band.
Her concert ensembles have annually earned Gold Award ratings at ISSMA Organizational Contest and recently additionally earned the "With Distinction" award.
Nicole Horner - Director
Ms. Horner has been on staff with the Plymouth band program for nine years.
She has been crucial to the development of both the fall and winter guard programs at Plymouth.
Under her direction, the winter programs have seen several IHSCGA classification "promotions" and in 2010, the Plymouth winter guard was named as the class 3A Divisional Champions.
She also serves as a third grade teacher for Menominee Elementary School in the Plymouth Community School Corporation.
Kent Arnsbarger - Director
Mr. Arnsbarger has been on staff with the band program for a total of 16 years. 13 yrs under Cindy Wagoner from 1991-2003 and 3 under Bryan Ames.('12-’14) In between those dates he was the percussion director at La Porte H.S.
He has served as a director for both the marching band percussion and indoor winter competition ensembles. Mr. Arnsbarger also serves as the percussion arranger for the both Plymouth H.S. and Knox H.S. marching bands.
He is an in demand performer and freelance steel drum soloist/musician who performs all across the Midwest 125+ dates a year. His website link is: www.kentarnsbarger.com
