Week 7 - November 30 - December 4

MONDAY/TUESDAY - Dec 30/ Nov 1
In class - I will continue to call on some of you to play the following as we are working on it live in class. 1- the lip slur warm ups 2- any of the concert music that we are working on in class Always be prepared to jump in and show us that you are working along with us from home. REMINDER: the CHRISTMAS CONCERT IS NEXT WEEKEND! |

Week 5-6 Virtual Learning - November 20, 23, 24
VIRTUAL LEARNING INSTRUCTIONS
During these three days, all band members will be expected for do the following:
1- Join our Zoom meeting. Attendance will be taken in the first 5 minutes of class. If you are late to the Zoom meeting, and it has closed for the day, you will be marked absent.
2- the expectation for at home practice will be given on the Zoom meeting. Most of our class time will be used to continue practicing for the upcoming Christmas Concert. But - there will be one day in which a VIDEO submission of your practice time will be requested. This video day will have you practicing during our class period and submitting your practice video immediately at the end of our class time. I will not announce which day this will happen - I will tell you in the Zoom meeting which day this will happen.
3- if you are in Winds - make sure you are memorizing part 2.

Reminder: you MUST be logged in on the Zoom meeting every day with your camera on and actively participating in class with your instrument. You will NOT receive your daily points for class if I do not see you engaged and practicing along with the class during rehearsal times. Last week, I posted the links for music for you to print. If you did not do this, let me know and I will send you the music via email. Also, you will notice that all of the old assignments from quarter 1 are now removed so that our site stays up to date and easy to use. We will continue working on the two Christmas pieces you were to download last week. |

Attached are some new warm ups that I plan to use at the beginning of class each day. Brass consists of lip slur exercises and woodwinds and percussion consists of chromatic passages to go with the brass slurs.
